I would say that its extremely probable that there is life on other planets, probably 99.99 percent certain, unless there is something special about Earth that we don't understand.
Which planet Nomad comes from is a harder question, but its probably big and dusty and he drives around in it a lot looking at thunderstorms.

Given the size of the galaxy there must be thousands of planets with life forms on them ... hopefully many of them will be more intelligent and more compassionate than us ...

Yes I think there is life on other planets. It might just microorganisms, but it's life.
