Hello... newbie here!

Hello Summer ! Welcome to the Forum Garden, BUT you just gotta have a sense of humour . That is an essential ingredient. FG is a lovely site, I have found, with lots of lovely people taking part. You'll find all the poems you want, all the discussions, debates, controversy, suggestions, help, ----- you name it, it's on here somewhere. Oh and by the way, FG is very addictive so just be cautious. If you want to lift your spirits at any time, just seek out Jimbo's thread - Spoof photographs, at one point there have been over 100 posts per day on that thread ! All the posts are meant for fun and nobody takes offence, and everybody understands that. It has had me in tears laughing so much - it is surprising how many people have a real talent for humour !:wah:

If you want to find some poems, jokes etc - you may be interested in the 'Friends of Carol' thread - that's where I seem to spend most of my time :wah: There is a real cross-section of posts on there - some serious, some really off-the-wall, but all are friendly, and everybody is most welcome to post and or just read.

A little rhyme for you to be going on with Summer !

I wish I was a little frog,

I have a sense of humour.. so that's a bonus, and I will certainly take a look at the threads you mentioned... you all seem like a friendly lot - from what I've seen so far.

I suppose it's difficult when you've built up friendships and then newbies come along to tip the balance... but I promise that I'm just looking for a bit of a laugh and somewhere to hang my poetry from time to time.....

here's one for you -

Chips and Plaice

We were waitin in the chippy,

me and our lad,

We'd been for a few beers

and I was feelin kinda bad.

I ordered chips and scraps

with loadsa salt and sauce,

but our lad wanted the works..

said he could eat a bleedin' horse.

So we're waitin in the queue,

the girl in front was sloshed,

and the fella sprawling over her

smelt like he needed a good wash.

She had a filthy mouth,

I could tell by all her swearing

and she was flashing all her bits

in that skirt she was almost wearing.

Our lad... he kept on gawping

so I gave him a sharp nudge.

I'm not the jealous type you know,

not one to hold a grudge.

But he didn't get the message

so I punched him in the face...

and while he slept off his 'hangover'

I scoffed his chips and plaice.

YZGI - yes, I can understand that - I'm the same - if you have nothing intelligent to say - then why say it? See you in poetry then!! I Lurve poetry... and will post loads 'n' loads and you'll be sick and tired of my pomes and you'll say -



why doesn't that summer stop her rhyme all the time, she's oh so thick, gets on my wick... she isn't pretty and isn't witty, so why oh why... won't she say goodbye and leave us all alone in peace and her daft poetry, please cease.



But I hope you know that I won't go.... I'm here to stay and have my say. I might annoy, and yes .. oh boy, I love to flirt and can be curt at times so just ignore my lust......... coz I'm just playing... that's all I'm saying!

Ok maybe that sounds bitter but for 2 yrs now Ive tried to be a shining beacon for the members here. A beacon of love and compassion.

I gave a kidney to one member.

My puppy to another who ran theirs over in the driveway.

I even flew to Dzungaria China when one member lost his family in a tragic rabid Panda Bear episode to console him and attend the funeral.

What do I get in return ?

They call me horrible names and talk disrespectfully about my "condition"

I dont know what to do anymore.

I keep hoping Ill make friends here but they love tormenting me too much.

Im the outcast and thats just how its gotta be I guess.

Will you be my friend ?

I haven't done anything for the members of another site that I visit... and they all adore me.... I get marriage proposals every day, sometimes 9 or 10 a day and that's just from the women !!

I will be your friend, Nomark... eermm ... :-3I mean Nomad, and it'll only cost you £55 per day...plus occassional treats on demand.

I won't ask about your 'condition' if you don't mind.... I have enough conditions of my own to worry about.....

Hiya Summer, welcome to FG. I used to be around a lot, rarely now but my name is Claire, I'mm 33 years young and have an 8 year old son and almost 8 month old daughter, Ryan and Jade. I'm a bit sarcastic but try now to keep it under wraps here as some either don't get it or don't like it. Have to be serious.

Ha ha well things happened with my son a few months ago and some were very supportive, others really nasty so it kinda put me off. A tip, don't comment on bad spelling or grammar else you may get a temporary ban. :wah: Not that I am like that, I'm an angel. I just do it on SocialMoth on Facebook now instead and realised that a lot of other people there are the same. :wah:
