Well I just knew it would happen tonight. There must have been 40 or more youths and a few girls, throwing fireworks, running around, noisy, gathering around my husband's Reliant Estate, and some of them were drinking. Police called, 999, they came in about 8 minutes. My son Andy, me and our next door neighbour Jane stood near our front gate with the Alsatian, 'talking'. The two PCs spoke to a few of these teens. Some of them had drifted away, then some more went . The two Officers walked around the playpark and through some alleyways between the houses. They were here for about 15 minutes, then left. I expect they will be pulled out of the place this evening. How I wish fireworks were banned, like they are in Australia, except for licenced official shows. I do believe that our presence there with the dog deterred the bastards from rolling my husband's Reliant.

What a lovely evening. I was going to watch a bit of TV, but I'm recording it instead, because we're on tenterhooks watching the monitor of our CCTV camera. I really don't feel brilliant and this aint helping one bit. We've got WW3 outside here and likely to last another hour and a half.

Thought you might be interested in how some people spend their relaxing Friday nights.

P.S. One of the bastards has just jumped on the Reliant's bonnet and karati -kicked the windscreen three times ! Fortunately, for him, the screen didn't break else he would have probably broken a bone - bloody shame that !

Of course he and his mates legged it as Andy and dog went rushing out the door.

We ordered a pizza, and the delivery fella was looking a little frightened, he said there must be over 60 youths and girls sat on the grass bank at the end of the line of houses (one of which is ours). Police were called again, and they came fast with blues and twos, three cars - double crewed. Apparently the mob dispersed immediately they saw the blue lights and heard the revving engines.

If I'm not tempting fate I would hope that we will be left in peace for the rest of the evening.

Tomorrow, during the day, we will take the Reliant to the farm where we store our caravan.

I started typing this at about 8. 20 pm. I guess I was interrupted a little bit.

Sorry but I have an utter loathing for bloody teenagers.

Hello everybody, I'm still here - just (well physically anyway ! ) :-3

Chris will be returning this evening (earlier than planned). Andy and I will be taking the little Reliant to a safe place in a short while. These young wild savages have a lot to answer for - they cause so much trouble to innocent people with their selfish and nasty endeavours. What do they get out of it I wonder ? Where will it end ?

Where are our rights, our quality of life ? What is the answer ? (answers on a postcard please to our sterile and useless government ----------------wait a minute, save your paper and ink, because they don't, won't and can't listen. The police do their best, but they have very little power it seems, and they have even less resources. We, Joe Public, are not allowed to take the law into our own hands. We are therefore under seige and on our own. These young ferals rule the streets in their huge gangs, and they care for nobody, nothing. They 'know their rights'. They know the police are restricted in what they can do about these gangs, and they laugh. Yes it's all a huge joke to them. They do not care.

Any of you out there who have teenage children ---------- do you know where your children are ? What they are doing ? Who are they doing it with, and to whom ?

What would you do, I wonder, if you were faced with 60 feral youths (and some girls egging them on) ? Yes you would stay in your house, lock the door, and pretend they are not there. But somebody has to make a stand, they have to stand up and be counted. We have to take back our streets. The only language these ferals understand is pain, physical pain. As individuals they are cowards, but in a gang they are very tribal and dangerous, intimidating, and very frightening.

But they are, after all, only children!!!! No, think again. They are young adults -- arrogant, nasty, selfish, disrespectful, violent, dangerous young adults. I loathe them with every bone in my body. I look at every teenager I see with a deep suspicion - are they in a gang after dark ? Is that the youth who tried to kick in the Reliant windscreen ? Are they the ones that rolled my son's Reliant the other day? Are they the ones who set fire to the lock-up garages ? Are they the ones who kicked in the other lock-up garage door ? Are they the ones who painted graffitti on the walls, smashed bottles in the playpark ? Are they ?

Gill i honestly think you need a better cctv system. One that can pick them out and show a better picture of them. Saying that i know they can be expensive, but woulf the police not set one up for you temporarily until some of the culprits are caught and presecuted. The police did that at my mams house although it wasnt for her or at her request, but the back of her house looks out on to school fields where the police were trying to catch arsoninst and drug users. They used my mams house and had the cameras there for a while, then came and took them back. Also have you thought of getting the local paper involved? Dunno if that would help but its just a thought. I hope things get better for you soon mate:-4

Hi Kaz,

Thanks for the ideas. We did ask the police some time ago about them putting up a camera so we could identify the yobs when we had troubles then, but they said they had none available. Whether this is still the case I shall have to find out.

As regards publicity in the papers or local TV, I'm not sure whether it would be a good idea. You just know how the 'gang' mind ticks, and one can visualise them preening themselves and puffing out their chests - " Hey we did that !!! " and being terribly proud that they have managed to get publicity. The other angle on that is that they would probably 'suss out' who had contacted the media, and no doubt there would be reprisals, and I'm afraid that would just escalate into something that could well get seriously out of control. At the moment, there seems to be a little control, in that the sight of police officers causes the yobs to take flight, and be slow to return, if they return at all that evening.

Thanks anyway for the suggestions Kaz, you never know :-4

It is now well and truly dark outside. Andy is sitting here with me and we're watching the CCTV monitor. At least the Reliant is in a safe place for a few days ! The sound has been turned up and the fireworks are exploding with a vengeance. At the moment there are 8 to 12 year olds playing on the playpark and some are playing '1-2-3' in between the houses. Quite normal, except for the explosions !

Chris will arrive back home about the time the ferrals are starting their prowling, but I'm hoping that, after last night's incidents, they will give it a rest !!!!! :-3

Well Kaz, I reckon everybody has gone to bonfire night celebrations ! So it's just you and me matey !

Hope everybody is OK, Joan and Tony, Kay and Kay's hubby, and everybody else. I hope our Carol had a better selling day today.

Hope Helen is OK as well, last I heard the other day was that she could not get on the internet, here's hoping that she can get that sorted otherwise poor Helen will suffer from Arcade withdrawal symptoms :yh_rotfl

I hope you all have an enjoyable 'bonfire night', and stay safe ! :) :-4

I am very sorry to appear to be a 'kill joy' but I really do think that with so much irresponsible and anti-social behaviour, the availability of fireworks to the general public should be banned. Only licenced organised firework displays should be permitted. I bet there are a few of you who agree with me as well !!

I agree with you Gill, and not just for the irritating facto of the noise disruption, and what it does to some poor animals, but of course the saftey aspect really:thinking:

Joannee;715728 wrote: Good Morning on this first day of the week hoping all our friends are in the best of health and looking forward to the coming week.

Sorry to hear of all the dreadful experiences one or two are having and hopefully soon you will be able to get away from it all.

Not quite light enough to see what sort of a day we are going to have but it is dry for starters.

My grateful thanks and appreciation to those who have sent e.cards etc and your co-operation by not phoning me, my days and disturbed nights are full with Tony's welfare and I rest and sleep whenever I get the opportunity.

With this Vascular Dementia Tony looks as fit as a fiddle and after all the trauma of the last stroke on Thursday and all the necessary tests in the hospital, his appetite is still good, there is one blessing he is oblivious of the things he is saying and doing and he would be absolutely devastated if he was aware of any of it, his lovely workshop and the model steam lorry he had almost finished is as he left it some months ago, all I do is to make sure no condensation builds up by leaving the door open and putting chrystals in troughs to collect any moisture.

I am taking Sophie for her morning walk while he is still asleep so my love and best wishes to you all and hoping this long message will *put you in the picture*of the present situation.

Thinking of you.

Joan xxx:)

Hi Joan:-4 Thanks for the update, im sure you are giving your Tony the very best care, and it must be so tiring for you. Please take care of yourelf also. Hope you enjoyed your walk with Sophie, i bet she is a lot of comfort to you:-4

Good morning everybody !! Bit foggy this morning, but the days following 'bonfire night' always seem to be foggy ! Bonfire smoke and firework smoke must contribute quite a lot to this.

We had a surprisingly peaceful (yobs) evening on Saturday evening, but we did notice quite a lot of police activity, patrolling-wise. Pity this can't be on a regular basis. But I suppose they had extra men on duty, because of this particular time of year, to create a 'presence' and thus a deterrent factor.

Joan, you worry me that it seems you are looking after your Tony on your own as you do not mention that anybody else is helping you. I appreciate that you want to be there with him all the time, and that is what I'm sure we all would be like with our partners. But Joan you did say a while ago that your doctor, your daughter and your grandson (I think) all said to you to get help, and you said you would when you needed it. Tony, by the sound of it, needs care 24/7 to a greater or lesser degree, and for you to take all this on your shoulders is not going to do you any good. I am sure that if Tony was aware of what you were doing, he would be most upset. If you made yourself ill because of all that you are doing 24/7 , you would not be able to do anything for your Tony would you ? You do need help now Joan, if only for a few hours in the day, so that you can have a bit of 'me' time, go into town, do a bit of gardening, visiting neighbours and friends, re-charge your batteries.

Right, now you can tell me to 'butt out', it's nothing to do with me and you are right, but I am worried about you over-doing it Joan. Your friends don't want to see you make yourself ill, and I'm very sure that Tony wouldn't want to see you make yourself ill. Just get yourself some help, you are entitled to it, you cannot do it all on your own. Please accept my words as a friend to a friend, because I care about you, we all care about you, so please - YOU care about you as well.

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeks.

Well we had a good weekend, grandson mowed the lawns and did the edges for us and stepson cleaned the pool. Sometimes you just have to accept help. I am stubborn and think I can do it all myself but it really helped yesterday to have everyone here yesterday cleaning up our yard.

Hi Kaz, Carol (thanks for the PM), and Kay (scratch, scratch, squeek, squeek :wah: )

See you maybe Tuesday Carol and Kaz :(

In the mean time I will no doubt occupy my time, after I have finished Chris's reams of typing I've got to do, by doing some more sorting and visiting the tip !

Gill struggled with a few 'odds and sods' to get them to the tip !!!

Good morning everybody, I hope you had a good weekend !

Carol I know it must be awfully difficult to find the time to visit FG and MSN, with all this tycooning you're doing. Still, somebody has to do it, so long as you don't overdo it Mrs. Posh cos you aint gettin any younger body-wise :lips: :wah:

By the way I found the Bette Midler versions of 'From a distance' and 'The Rose' and played them both to my hubby Chris and son Andy, they have heard your versions Carol, and they said you were far better than Bette Midler ! :-4

Good morning everybody, I hope you had a good weekend !

Carol I know it must be awfully difficult to find the time to visit FG and MSN, with all this tycooning you're doing. Still, somebody has to do it, so long as you don't overdo it Mrs. Posh cos you aint gettin any younger body-wise :wah:

By the way I found the Bette Midler versions of 'From a distance' and 'The Rose' and played them both to my hubby Chris and son Andy, they have heard your versions Carol, and they said you were far better than Bette Midler !

Ahhhhhh Gill................yer only saying that cause its true:rolleyes:Ere I was told today by someone who I lent my CD to that no way it was me singing.....they reckon that nobody with a mouth like mine can sing so nice...............bleedin cheek!!!Er I think:thinking:.And about me not getting any younger woman..............grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....I will deal with you later!!!!!

Oh boy have I had a day today.First my 4x4 had an orange light in it that appeared from nowhere.....anyway to cut a long story short I had to take the bloody fing miles away to a Suzuki dealer....opposite flipping direction to London where I was going.....to get it sorted. That was 150quid for half hour work.....robbing gits....so I waited for it an then when onto London. Gawd elp us what a carry on that was!!!I went to me warehouse first where I got me jobline slippers an bought loads of gear.....some nice christmas crackers also...very posh ones, you should see whats in em!!!Well there a box of 12 that retails for £12.99 that I will be able to sell for a fiver and lots of other stuff also. Then onto another warehouse an got aload of other gear. Coming home was a joke.....the fire engines about made the traffice come to a stand still.Ffs why the hell dont the government ban fire works or just have the proper big display ones. Why????I will tell ye....cause they make to much money out of the bloody fings in tax.Never mind about what misery the fings can bring and the work it causes for the emergency services that WE the tax payer have to pay for.I know Gill agrees with me on this and after what I have seen tonight I really believe that fings are getting worse. What is this country like.....people getting pleasure from killing animals....having explosives that you can buy in most places and its all legal....petrol over £1 a litre.....kids being sent home from school cause of having an extra piece of food in their lunch boxes.....paying road taxes and yet having to still pay to use certain roads and nearly a tenner to go into parts of london.....having to pay a fine or even go to prison for feeding pigeons in certain areas......its ok for a young child to ride on a bike on a main road......God so it goes on.Tell yer one fing......we are taxed so high these days and in my mind seem to be getting less an less for our money.Still somebody has to keep the government and allow them to have their privileges I guess.Oh gawd dont start me off on that one:-5......let me get off my soap box now lol.I fink I better go now....so nite nite......love to Everyonexxxxxx

Husband: Oh, come on.

Wife: Leave me alone!

Husband: It won't take long.

Wife: I won't be able to sleep afterwards.

Husband: I can't sleep without it.

Wife: Why do you think of things like this in the middle of the night?

Husband: Because I'm Hot.

Wife: You get hot at the darnedest times.

Husband: If you love me I wouldn't have to beg you.

Wife: If you love me you'd be more considerate.

Husband: You don't love me anymore.

Wife: Yes I do, but let's forget it for tonight.

Husband: Please...come on

Wife: Alright, I'll do it.

Husband: What's the matter? Need a flashlight?

Wife: I can't find it.

Husband: Oh, for heaven's sake, feel for it!

Wife: There! Are you satisfied?

Husband: Oh, yes.

Wife: Is it up far enough?

Husband: Oh, that's good.

Wife: Now go to sleep, and from now on when you want the window open,

do it yourself. :wah:;)
