Whats the rudest thing you have ever done? Come on fess up!
Mine, I had this telemarketer calling 3 to 4 times a week for about two months, to buy the Detroit News, I started out polite, but it escilated to me telling her"Look I tell you everytime you call that I dont want to receive the paper,a nd you respond with but why? It's a wonderful deal, blah, blah,blah, the reason I dont want the paper is I cant read" And I hung up!
Telemarketers borderline on harrassment.

Hi,
I reckon my Mum did the best one I know of! She was sick of tele sales calls about cars (She is 77 Years young and has never driven anything)! So in the end she agreed to have some brochures sent. They duly arrived and after about two weeks the telesales person was back on the phone asking if she had had the brochure & what she thought of it?
Quick as a flash my old mother said the brochure was ok but next time could they use paper that was not so glossy and would flush better; Also would they mind punching a hole in the corner to put the string through?:yh_rotfl

On telemarketers, I tried everything - telling them there was nobody at home, hanging up, insulting them, answering the phone only in French, chatting back to them about the weather... their day... their country...anything but the subject they rang to spruik about, getting my number listed on the no-call register, getting an unlisted number, answering the phone and then just going away leaving them dangling. Nothing worked.
Finally I just put on an answering machine. This removes most of the calls as automatic telemarketer dialing recognises a machine and moves on to another more promising target.
When evangelists from my favourite sects come to my door, I now just put on a headscarf... (just kidding, but maybe that's worth a try)
