I've been watching it since yesterday, the Lake Arrowhead one, and the one above Riverside. Poor Pepperdine!

Right after I got done posting I heard a story about the Cal fires on the radio. Sounds like a bad situation. Hope noone has to evacuate.
Once several years ago a fire near Los Alamos NM sent the whole town packing. In NM fires are lit to keep brush and all down but this time there was a bad wind that caused the flames to jump the line (I think that was it) and so all hell broke loose. Fortunately noone was killed. Lots of homes were lost though.
Hopefully you will put everything out soon.

I live in San Diego and this city is burning to the ground there are 10 different fires. I'm lucky I live in a safe area as does most of my family. My younger sister has be evacuated as have many of my friends. I know many people who have lost everything. We are at the Mercy of the Santa Ana Winds and God.
Pray for us in California we need them.:-1

These fires are a mess - Thousands won't have a home to go back to.
When will this be declared a disaster? Is FEMA geared up to bring trailers in or any other assistance for these families? Some families are sleeping in parking lots, the arena is full, the Chargers are in AZ to continue the Football schedule since their arena is full of evacutees.
This is a mess - I'm waiting for Bush to rule it a disaster.? Whats he waiting for??

I think they've all died down. At least I can go outside without choking from the burnt smell. Yesterday morning on the way to work the air was thick with smoke and there had been ashes all over my car for 2 days. I can finally open my windows without the smell coming inside. They news media is saying it's arson. And some are even saying that it is terrorists who started the fires..

We still have 4 major FIRES burning in San Diego County we aren't out of the woods yet.
Each day gets better but we will be eating smoke and ash for at least another month. Bravo to all the amazing fire fighters on the lines they are truly the worlds best.
I have many very close family friends that have lost everything nothing but ash left of their houses. :-1
