Total Prep Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 4
Description:
Steam mussels, with butter and garlic, served with warm French bread and a nice tossed salad. Buy them at your local market or, as shown here, get them from the sea.
Ingredients:
4 pounds of mussels (1 pound per person)
2 sticks of butter (try not to use margarine)
1 bunch of parsley, chopped
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
Preparation:
- 1. If you gathered the mussels yourself from the sea, wash mussels thoroughly, scraping off barnacles and seaweed.
- 2. Rinse mussels thoroughly.
- 3. Chop garlic or put through garlic press, place in side cup.
- 4. Rinse, then chop parsley and put in side bowl.
- 5. In a large skillet or frying pan, place a generous helping of butter and heat on med-high. Add mussels and spead all over, making sure they are single layer. Sprinkle a teaspoon of garlic over mussels. Sprinkle tablespoon of parsley of mussels. Place lid on top of skillet and leave slightly open.
- 6. Check mussels every few minutes, shaking the skillet so the mussels move around.
- 7. Add a 1/4 cup of water after 3 minutes and continue cooking.
- 8. Repeat 6 until mussel shells are slightly open. Once slightly open, mussels are ready.
- 9. Remove open mussels and place in large, deep pot. Place pot on low heat to keep mussels warm.
- 10. Repeat steps 5-9 until all mussels are cooked.
- 11. For dipping sauce...
Serve with a large tossed salad and lots of French bread. Delicious!

I know this looks like spam you guys, but I looked at it and to me, it seems pretty neat. It's a cooking community with recipes and how-to videos and stuff by regular people.

Thank you for your message RedGlitter.
My apologize, if it looks like spam. That wasn't intentional.
IPTV is for home cooks and professional cooks. We'd love to get more members, so that there will be recipes for any one's taste. As you can see, we also do have quite a few international dishes.
It's also a new area by using videos, which makes it easy for someone to cook the recipes presented. And it's fun as well to show your friends and the world your cooking skills:)
This is all for free, and again, we are just a small cooking community, who love to share recipes and enjoy a good meal at home.
Regards
Beat

4. Leave the dough alone for about 30 minutes.
5. Peal the apples and remove the core.

7. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar to the lemon juice, sweep the apples and leave them alone for about 30 minutes.
8. Add a pinch of salt to the white of two eggs and stir until it is stiff, carefully mix it with the dough.
9. Heat the oil in a frying-pan to 190°C (375°F).
10. Dip one ring of apple at a time into the dough and fry it immediately in the oil on both sides until it is brown.
11. Drip off the oil.
12. Spread confectioner's or cinnamon sugar evenly over the cookies while they are still warm and serve them immediately.
But they will also taste good when they are cold, especially if you serve them with some warm vanilla sauce.
Enjoy!!

This recipe is from my Mom. Over 30 years old. That usually was our Friday lunch. Very simple, because I grew up in a workers family. But it was filling.
These days, it's a great dessert, a little heavy but delicious...
