Outlook express just told me.... couldnt display any of my folders. In, out, sent etc.... Because of Low Disc Space... or No Memory... What the heck does this mean???? Is my computer CRASHING??? Im scared.

Between this latest scare... and Malware constantly tellin me that Trojans are present.... ( Which makes me think of condoms ) Which is very annoying, as there is no one here, in my life to wear condoms.... I am always a wreck.

Its gotten to the point where I think Malware is trying to send me a message like..... Whats wrong with you?? WHY are there no condoms, ( I mean Trojans in your life??????

Seriously....... is my computer crashing????? Anyone know???

It sounds like you need to free up a lot of space on your Hard Disk. From reference to Outlook Express I assume that you are using some version of Windows (XP. needs at least 2Gigs to work properly)..... if so, it serves you right.

Seriously, I would never advise anyone to use Microsh1t.

Much more efficient and user-friendly browsers are Opera or Firefox.

If you cannot find anything obvious to delete then it could well be worth doing a Disc Cleanup followed by a Defrag (both in Accessories, System Tools) to give you the maximum contiguous free space.

It would also be useful to open a Windoze Explorer window and right clicking over your C drive. Then select properties and it will show you the size of the disk and the amount of free space remaining.

what ever you do, DO NOT click on the adverts that say, get this and it will clean your computer.

what security centre are you with.?

do a proper disc check with a certified virus software program this shoudl bring them up ad you can delete them.

I had the same problem about 2 months ago.

30GB should be plenty for anyone - I doubt if even a badly fragmented disk could take that down to a level where the machine would be unstable but it would be worth running defrag anyway. If you cannot find it in the menu system (Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/Disk Defragmentor) the do a Start/Run and enter DFRG.MSC

After that it's a case of getting rid of the infestation. As well as running a McAfee scan I'd download and run SpyBot (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html) - it's free and appears to be particularly successful against Trojans.

If McAfee doesn't do the job, I prefer AGV7 Free anyway (http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0) because (1) it's free, (2) it's effective and (3) it uses less system resources.

If all that don't work then well try something else :)

Open the properties of your C drive. One of the tabs up top wiill say "tools" Click on that and you should see de-frag along with error check.

Hope that helps, Weeder.

Hi Weeder and Bryn,

Thank you so much Weeder for asking puter questions and thank you Bryn for your good advice.

I was very proud of myself. I followed your directions about freeing up space on my C- Drive. Now, I have 59 GB total and 43 GB of free space. ....yeeehaaa, let's celebrate.....

We had a tech from our DSL here for 3 freaking hours last Friday. There were 98 people who repoted after us. When you pay for service...........you expect the service. We got it. The corporate server was f'd for 2.5 days.

Before I came on here and asked for help a couple of weeks ago... I had spent hours on the phone with the DSL tech support people. I also was off line for a couple of days. What does corporate server mean? Is tha like verizon or comcast etc....?
