Do you like your job?

Post by koan »

I enjoy working all day. I feel relaxed and happy, no one pushing me, yelling or manipulating. I volunteer to work on the weekends too. That's where I'm off to right now. :D

I'm lucky.

I don't have anyone pushing or yelling at me. My job is a job, I guess I could say that I don't go to work to have my emotional needs fulfilled. So the fact that it isn't perfect is alright.

There is an employee there who is "strange". That's how the operations manager describes her. The "strange" girl sits right next to me, used to be friendly with me. And has given her notice to leave the company on the 28th. My supervisor said to me that things will be different there after this "strange" one leaves.:sneaky:

The thing that I like about my job is that I have a lot of work to do. And I am busy all day.:)

Yes, I do like my job very much. I don't think I'll do the same thing forever but for now it's challenging and fastpaced and I get to work with inspiring little kids! Sometimes I think I could work around the clock but then that's just when I'm manic ;)

I freaking retired at 50. I did substitute teaching all last year because I did not know what to do with my time. I am still going to substitute teach but I am really into retirement now. Why should I work when I make $6,000.00 a month in retirement. I just really need to find my interests again...the ones I had when I worked and wished I had time to delve into something other than WORK!!! The things that were hobbies are no longer as interesting when you can fulfill them full time. I really think it is a case of...............you might get what you wish for and be really unhappy by it. I am totally lost right now. I want the career I had but lost because of cancer and I had no back up plan. I have been depressed.............I want something besides dusty furniture to wake up to every morning.

OK this thread made me think about my like.

I am very unhappy with NOTHING to do each day but housework! WHAT DO RETIRED PEOPLE DO WITH THEIR LIVES???

I am not happy with substitute teaching. I am only 51 and think I still have more to offer. Dang.............I am really considering going back to lab work...yeah right....not going to happen. How very sad.

Haha NVV-

Your post must be a joke? You tell me you aren't happy when you make so much money? If I had that income I would have a million different things to do! Are you physically okay now? Why are you feeling so down? Hope you find something you're interested in :-6

The truth is Id rather be sailing or hiking in the mountains or just eating a bowl of ice cream than working. If this makes me Hitler or some kind of

anti Christ then so be it.

You guys are a rough crowd.
