Banish it, cheaters should not be tolerated in any way shape or form. To brand it then hand it over is BS that is still drawing attention it, a cheater deserves nothing in the form of recognition not even something saying he cheated.

"Hank Aaron's most notable achievement was setting the MLB record for most career home runs with 755, which he held for 33 years until being surpassed by San Francisco Giants outfielder Barry Bonds on 2007-08-07."
Barry Bonds took the record as (allegedly? I'm not sure if it's proven) a result of steroid abuse. In my opinion that, if it's true, eliminates his career achievements completely, just like it would have an Olympic or Word Record withdrawn after being found guilty. I don't see that he takes the record at all.
In which case, burn the ball. It has no connotations at all.

Well, I love baseball. It's probably, alongside football, my favorite sport of all. That said, I don't care for Barry Bonds at all, and never have. He comes off as arrogant to me. I realize some would say he earned the right to be arrogant, but I believe that if you have a God-given talent you're meant to nurture it and make it shine. If the allegations are true, and all the evidence seems to point in that direction, then what he's done is null and void. I say mail the damn thing back to Barry and tell him to stuff it.

The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

if a musician takes drugs does that nullify his musical accomplishments? :wah:
It appears that it is all accusation still. Though books have been written saying he took them, he has not been convicted or officially found guilty from what I could see. It doesn't appear that he has charged the writers with libel or anything though.

The indictment came three months after the 43-year-old Bonds passed Hank Aaron to become baseball's career home run leader. Bonds parted ways with the San Francisco Giants after the season.

His defence team lashed out with "Every American should worry about a Justice Department that doesn't know if waterboarding is torture and can't tell the difference between prosecution on the one hand and persecution on the other". Not bad, that.
