How it is Willie Nelson can still play a guitar with a large hole in the

front of it? He's been doing it for years and while I can understand

the sentimentality of playing the same guitar, how is it possible that

a hole like that doesn't really interfere with the quality of sound that

comes out of it?



Is it possible it could be repaired? I know he's just an old country boy

but come on! It looks bad, if nothing else!!

Here's ol' Willie and his guitar! The hole might have been made on purpose - anyway, it won't ruin the sound, it is mostly behind the strings (like most acoustic guitar sound holes) and would give just a different tone to it, not necessarily a bad sound.

yeah, and apparently Brian May (Queen) has an old guitar held together by string and goodness knows what, yet still makes a great sound!
