What lurks in the night.

Post by Indian Princess »

Are you a late night person? I am, I like to see the coming and going ons of the neighborhood, I know that my new neighbors, let there huge dog out 3 times a night and that he goes doodle in yard, because his collar rattles, and he pees just under my head outside our window.

I know the registered sex offender that lives on our street, lurks around at all hours and walks around stumbling and talking to himself on a nightly basis.

I know that lake is beautiful when there is a full moon.

When you are up what do you notice??????

Tonight I watched a neighbor move out with a police escort.

Seems her boyfriend didn't want her to go, so she had to call for backup.

Aahh. The joys of redneck ghetto.

I sit out on my porch in my favorite swing and watch a huge owl coming and going out of tree in my front yard..i watch a neighbor walking up and down the road smoking late at night..i hear some neighbors down the road having a pretty good arguement once in a while..noise travels so well at night..:p

i can hear the trains going by about five miles from here..

see another neighbor come in from his late shift at the prison..always got a beer can in his hand..lol a little while after he gets home i see his wife leave out in the same vehicle going to start her shift at the hospital..and then right after that her dogs are up here on my porch wanting to play...with mine..her husband lets them out for a little while right after his wife leaves everytime..

ummm and i can see lightening bugs lighting up in the woods in front of my house...hear the crickets chirping ....

I cycle in the early hours of the morning across remote rural landscapes and unlit country lanes.

It was about half past past midnight on a 50 mile cycle I stopped at a crossroads, nearby was a country cottage and I noticed the lights went out. I was just trying to establish which direction to go when I was blinded by a tungsten flash that appeared to have come from directly in front of me. There was nothing there but farmland, open spaces and a few trees?

I'm a lark not an owl but often see things that others dont, just at the other end of the day, in the summer around 4am the honeysuckle in the hedge smells magnificent, I often see deer in the fields, foxcubs playing around the set, its a magical time of day :)
