hi everyone,

well,the repairman turned up at 5pm, he had to come from bristol!!! i doubt the poor soul has got home yet cos he said the traffic was nose to tail going up country. anyway, things were up and running by 6pm. we expected it to be quiet but it was silly, everyones just disappeared !! i finished at 9-30 but i did do a lot of cleaning today.

perhaps you ought to dress down a bit, that guy, who does the market, probably thinks you're too posh to booty :wah:

i do like your ornament though, not seen one like that before.

Hi all, sorry have been busyyyyyyyyyyyy with the two babies and getting stressed out about bad comments the grandparents have been saying about me.......getting ready to toss it all in :-1 apart from that we are having a lovely sunny day today so wont be long now until summer

Managed to get a bit more time on here !

Joan's at the docs, Carol's emigrated again ! pmsl Oh and by the way, as was pointed out to me in no uncertain terms, the Mackem is Kaz (I stupidly called her a Geordie !). Helen, I've no doubt , is slaving over a hot potato peeler ! Kaz is probably returning from her VVVPV after the bank holiday weekend and Hi Kay !

Kay, tell the grandparents to mind their own business matey ! It's your life and you're a big girl now, or hadn't they noticed ! Or were you referring to the grandparents of your charges ?

Hi Neffy, hope you're OK, and Hi to Ali in Australia, hope you're OK as well.

Lasgo, hope you're coping with that extra mouth to feed !!

Well I had a good bank holiday weekend - the bl---y sun made an appearance ! Very glad we've got a VVVPBH, cos the ice cream hut (which also does tea and coffee) was pulled out of the place! Their hut is only about 50yards from ours ! The icecream they sell is made on the Holkham estate - and it's gorgeous stuff, with all sorts of flavours, but they're quite expensive I think at £1.50 each !

I have never seen Wells-next-the-sea beach as full of people as it was on Sunday, and I felt very glad that we had our own beach hut and consequently our own bit of beach in front ! Andy was able to fly his 'delta' kite, but he had to go quite a way along the sand to get safe space - it's a good job the tide was well out, and people were able to spread out and not be crammed in. The exodus at the end of the day was not unlike the M25 !! The beach road which is the only access to the beach carpark, just past our caravan site, had a mile long queue of cars with people wanting to get home. The hold up was caused by the junction in Wells at the quay. I have never seen the town so busy in the 30 or so years I've have known it.

I've taken a few piccys with my digital camera which I hope to download a few on here when I come back. I've also done some filming with my camcorder, but I'll have to sort out how to transfer that so that you can see 'moving' piccys as well.

Well I am still learning stuff you know!

Well even though I'm away on holiday, I seem to have been on more than our Carol !

Helen you take care with your bad back! Kaz I hope you had a good bank holiday in your VVVPV, Joan thanks for the emails and hope stuff is OK at docs.

Carol if you are around on Sunday, I may be able to get on MSN at last !

It's cloudy here today but I think the sun is trying to break through, so I may be back to the beach this afternoon! Hope to get on FG tomorrow morning around 10 am. The library closes here in about 5 minutes today so I'm off now .

glad the weather is better for you now, you'll be home soon, how quick that time has gone !! well, it has here, cant believe the bank holiday has been and gone and we're now looking forward to closing in the afternoons next week.

I am flattered that you thought about me though, but none of us here mind what or who we talk about, thats what this thread is all about, just prattling on about whatever you feel like, telling our news trivial or important, sometimes we chat about serious issues, sometimes we chat about the weather! I havent seen you on here for a while Stroller, you should pop on more often, tell us a bit about your self, how's things with you etc. Anyway i hope you are ok and alls ok in your world.

Kay my aunt used to foster, (still does i think) she has had a few where trouble has been caused by relatives etc. Its a hard job on its own without any of that.

Hope all the rest of you are ok ,,, and have been able to enjoy the sun we have had :yh_hugs Kaz.

hows st osyth carol ?? cant believe you're on the same beach where i used to play as a kid. had a look on their web site yesterday and its nothing like i remember it when the o'dells had it.

just before you got to the beach,it was all open marsh land and they did pony rides in a field beside the road, spent a lot of my time there too.

I must admit i didnt at first get the full gist of the post. i just thought he thought you really didnt know that im the mackem:wah: But ye it was a bit sarky

I will be online for a while today,, but dont know if i have to go in to work tomorrow or not( will find out later) Then Thursday im doing the buffet for my dads 70th Birthday, had to run out and buy him a new digi box today as his broke, and he is lost without it now as he is practcally housebound at the moment, so that can go towards his birthday :wah: Hope to get to speak to you soon carol xxx
