Say it ain't so! Somebody!!
I heard that Sesame Street is changing him to be the "Carrot Monster"
in order to be more PC!!
Or, did Val just fall for one of those urban myths?

Well, yes, it probably is true....funnily enough I`ve just heard that CS Lewis`s book The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is to ditch The Lion (ie, Aslan, ie, `God`) because of its religious connotations, er......doesn`t that miss the point of the book?!!!

surely it is just some warped thinking.
You can't change thinks as sacred as the cookie monster.

Yeah, as usual, Skittles got it right. Sesame Street is always kid conscious, and they are trying to do something about child obesity in the U.S. and guys....I hate to tell you this, but it's a BIG problem.
Kids don't go outside and play anymore, probably thanks to child molesters, videogames, and cable TV, but for what ever reason, only about 25% of my kids are their right weight for their age.
Then funding woes and No Child Left Behind killed off P.E.
So Cookie Monster will now snack almost exclusively on vegetables and healthy foods with only the occasional cookie for him.
But he'll live longer! :wah:

Well, I know that obese kids are more prevalent, but there sure aren't
any in my neighborhood!! These kids are always on the go.
I jokingly say to people that the only sport I've never seen any of them
do is horseback riding!! Even had to get the little rotters to quit teeing
off from my front lawn!! Divot city!!

yeah the experts are saying that we are in the middle of an Obesity Epidemic. Comparing it to the likes of Malaria, Small Pox, and Polio.
"Geez, Grampa. How did you get tru the Obesity Epidemic?"
"Oh, Billy. It was terrible. There were porkchops and cheesecake everywhere!"
