This is Kathy Ellen.

Yes, I'm back after a wonderful holiday in Florida, bronzed, glowing and ready to party.

No, sorry-the NJ Love-In is off- my dogs ate my house and the whole Jersey Shore has been abducted by aliens.

OK.....Aussie Pam wrote that last bit and said we could maybe consider a new FG love-in in the Australian Great Sandy Desert.

I miss all of you so much. So what's been happening??

Wow, hello to Koan, Pam, Pinky, Pink Chick, Peg and Jimbo:-4

It is so good to be back and see all of your smiling faces. I missed all of you sooooo much..felt like I was in limbo not having a good cup of FG Joe (that's a delish cup of coffee) everyday. Hope all are well. It's going to take a bit of time for me to catch up.

Ahhhh, thanks Peg:-4, I will not leave again. I'm so happy to be here with good friends. "There's no place like home, there's no place like home......"

Florida was absolutely fabulous.....the Gulf of Mexico was a block away and the sweet town of Siesta Key was a block away. You can just park your car and walk everywhere. I did nothing but swim, read books, visit with friends that live near-by, and have my cosmo and good music at a near-by pub everyday. Life is good.

Pinky, you bet I brought back the sun, just for you....mailed it a short while ago just to put a smile on your face.

AND YOU JIMBO....don't you dare think that you can have my car.....unless you want to make the payments.....:wah:

The meeting at Kathy's has had to be cancelled.

Maybe someone else will offer to host an American meet? Or a Canadian gathering? Who knows, one day there may indeed even be an Australian one. I think Magenta mentioned something about that. Count me out as host. I really prefer small get-togethers, just with a few friends. Hopeless in a crowd. :sneaky:

Anyway, this is a hello thread - perhaps those who want to organise a meeting can put up their ideas in a separate thread.

What's the weather like back home, Kathy, after Florida? Have you got a suntan? I'm winter white!!! Grin

lol it was my Birthday not to long ago Kathy and last time you were around i was 17 :wah:,and the NY Plans are comming along great i've opend up a savings account i've asked the bank not to let me make withdrawels from that account till i have enough to move :wah:

No, I don't Darren. But, I do live 70 miles south of NY and go in quite often. I take a local bus that takes 1 hr. & 15 minutes door to door.

I used to live near the Holland Tunnel (that's one of the bridges that connects New Jersey & New York. I drove in every weekend and it took only 10 minutes. We used to go to an Irish pub and restaurant called Flanagans and the Glockamora every Saturday. The owners of the Glockamora were great friends of ours ,and we met and spent time with many of the bands. Great fun while it lasted.

Suzy, I actually shop in NJ because the prices are so much cheaper. In NY they also have an 8 % sales tax and it's 6% in NJ...makes a difference. Keep in touch.
