There are different ways of introducing social change. You can take a path of continuous improvement, using and eventually modifying existing constitutional provisions. Alternatively, you can overthrow the existing constitutional provisions and set up a new political system lacking continuity with the past. The advantage of the first is that it doesn't climb to power over countless bodies.
I have no interest in revolution. I mistrust the ambition of revolutionaries. I doubt their benevolence.
Comparing the nations of the world, the UK is a socialist paradise and long may it remain one. It's capable of improvement. I'm doing what I can to improve it.
Given the choice of overthrowing the constitution of the USA or keeping what's currently there, I'd settle for the status quo.
Now, as for Ireland, by all means change the constitution, acquire a legitimate democratic mandate from both sides of the border for union, and make it happen - nobody is going to legitimately stand in the way of union after a majority referendum both in the Republic and in the Province. I'd work for such a conclusion. It's going to happen a lot quicker if the IRA stands down and demonstrably retains no arms caches. Getting to that point would be a clever finesse, not a loss of face.

When flower power came along I stood for Human Rights, marched around for peace and freedom, had some nooky every night - we took it serious.

Where did you pick that up?I did some introductory Welsh and Erse lessons - what stopped me is the extraordinary spelling, it was worse than reading Russian. Why do you write Tá fáilte romhat when what you say sounds like ta fort yerolt? Sat in a group, I can repeat the words and memorise them, but faced with a book I get nowhere.
