I have an interview on Friday after my finals! Its at the Daily Helmsman for the staff photographer position! The Editor of Photography and I had a long conversation today and I think it went very well.

Me + Photographer + Newspaper = DREAM JOB!

Weird. I just happen to have one.

I had some work in a hospital a few years back. I went to the lab and the person I was talking to had a jar of eyeballs on her desk.

That would make a great paper weight.

UNRELATED UPDATE:

I got an A on the paper I turned in last week!!!!!

and

I gave my presentation to the class today and didn't barf OR shyt my pants. I actually got a great response from the class. I love being a student again!!!!!!!!!!

Karen D. pissed her panties when she had to stand in front of the class and read her essay on the cotton gin.

I still remember that because I liked her.

I think I used to pull her hair to kind of let her know.

ok.

Last night I had a full fledged panic attack about my finals. I was positive that I was completely unprepared and would surely flunk flunk flunk.

This morning, I show up to class an hour early & see some classmates. Get this: I actually start teaching the group and passing around my notes to help everyone else.

Panic Attack for F'ing Nothing!

Haven't gotten scores back, but I feel very good about it.

Also:

The Editor was unable to meet with me today, so I just dropped off a portfolio of my photography. Will keep you posted.

Keep that confidence! Walk in there as if you already work in that position and you're just there to talk about changes in the job description. Be humble of course, but confident. Your attitude will go a long way to convincing the boss that (s)he has to hire you.
