What expressions drive you nuts?

Any tired sayings you would be happy never hearing again?

My #1 would be "Get 'er done"...that redneck comedian started it. Everyone says it in Missouri. It drives me CRAZY!!!

Please share...let us come together and complain.

I hate when people call Wednesday "hump day". That brings a yucky image to my brain each time I hear it...and it makes me think about how far away the weekend is!

'At the end of the day' and '24/7' bug the heck out of me, but I absolutelu LOATHE 'Minger' and 'Minging'! They are just the grossest words with the grossest meanings! They always make me think of Big Brother's Jade as she whines "ewwww....am I minging??" and my reply would always be "Yes dear, you are!"

Most euphemisms spoken in the English Midlands dialect in general, and "ayer gorra rubba?" in particular, which must be the most off-putting advance I've ever had used on me after a long night out.

I had 6 beers over 4 hours along with nachos when I was stopped at a DWI checkpoint. The cop asked if I had been drinking - I said - "Oh hell yes". He asked how much and I told him 6 beers in 4 hours. He asked if I was on my way home - I said yes - he let me go saying he had appreciated my honesty.

HATE that!! I use the peace "sign" all the time, I have peace signs everywhere, (I think I was born about 30 years too late), but that saying just makes my teeth itch.

I am tired of hearing traffic reporters say that a car crashed into the

center "divide". It's DIVIDER you dolt.

Or saying somebody got a bad RAP for something it's REP as in

REPUTATION. Yes, a person can have a RAP SHEET but the other is

different.

Really tired of hearing "Butt naked" although it IS preferable to what

it originally was and that meaning but how about "STARK naked"?
