Just like it says, who is your favorite tv detective and why?

Mine is Det. David Addison from Moonlighting. Why not, Bruce willis.:wah:

It would be Quincy, medical examiner. Because he does all the wrong things for the right reasons and I admire that.

I sorta liked the one that Buddy Ebsen starred on... I just can't recall the name. Why I love Buddy Ebsen.:p

I like Matlock, even though he was a lawyer....liked the way he solved the cases!!

Today detectives I would Say Monk love this guy.. Maybe Brenda on the "Closer" sometimes her accent gets on my nerves.

Columbo for the older detectives days.

that is one of my favs,always watched it with my mum on a sat night when dad went out.Great memories

Ken Stott as Rebus would have to be my favourite detective as I love the novels. I wasn't that taken with John Hannah in the role (not nearly murky enough for my liking).

I would say Van Der Valk, just for the theme music, I can't remember what actually happened in the show, it was a long time ago! Regan in "The Sweeney" was pretty damn cool, I'd love one of them 70's Ford Granada's so I could chase villians around!
