We Wore them out Big Time!

Post by Pheasy »

I am an assistant at our local state park - each week we run camps for different age groups. This week was 9 - 13 year olds. We taught them about boating and survival in the water. They were full of energy all week - even yesterday when we were in the water practicing rescuing, they still had loads of energy. Haha we finally got them today, kayaking - they had loads of fun, but boy were they knackered. Mission accomplished :-6:-6

That sounds wonderful, ThePheasant. Where is the State Park? I just love getting out on the water in a canoe or kayak. There is something really peaceful about just paddling along - I guess you didn't get the peaceful side of any of that though. Grin.

Hi Pam, we love to kayak too, your right it is so peaceful. Most weekends you will find us on the lake kayaking.

:wah:Yes today was not so peaceful - mostly it was me :wah: shouting 'hold that paddle right!' or ' if you do that again you are out of the water!' or 'don;t be scared I'll be next to you, and you do have a lfe jacket'.

How old are the two in the back standing up? I know they ain't 9-13, are they over 20? If so, where do I sign up? Seriously though, you have a great job. I envy those that get to work out of doors in the summer, and then I sweat and thank my stars I work inside. Glad to see you had fun wearing them out.
