These are supposed to be hunting dogs from Chateau Something Or Other in France. The only things I'm impressed with is that they got all these dogs to actually sit without going for the food and that there wasn't a single dogfight.
Other than that...since when do you just dump dog food on the ground!? If you can afford a chateau and 100 dogs, can't you afford some dishes for the fur guys? I seriously doubt any of those guys got a decent amount of food when they were hopping over each other to get to it.
It makes feeding my 12 dogs seem like a cinch!

Awww, I'm shocked that there isn't any fighting between the dogs for the food, surely doesn't seem like enough food for them all....I felt bad for them...but they looked healthy....I would think if you can afford a castle you can figure out a better way of feeding the ever so precious hunting dogs....

Magenta, I don't know if it was their only food for the day. It's certainly possible. I feed my dogs once a day with snacks in between and they are in good health and shape. I would not be at all surprised if that heap of food was the hunting dogs' only meal.
I wouldn't know how hounds eat in such a large pack but the ones I have fostered and the two I have currently are scarfers. They'll eat their food and anyone else's if the chance is there and it's not because they're that hungry.
I don't remember recognizing any contempt in the video, but I will look at it again. I was concentrating more on how anyone could have that many dogs all together like that (I'm talking even before the food) and yet they were all getting along. I doubt they're neutered which would make it even more amazing.
I didn't appreciate the whip because if he's using it just in waving it around to keep them behaving, you have to know the likelihood there's been use of it prior. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it.
I still don't agree with feeding them off the ground. I know people will say they're just dogs and even wolves eat their prey on the ground, etc; but that looked negligent as heck and left me with a bad impression.
Still I am amazed at the behavior of all those dogs together. And I wouldn't mind living in that chateau.
Can you imagine the yard cleanup involved?!
