Ethel Scrabbs
Ethel Scrabbs, witch, mystic, visionary, mistress of Lourges, and guardian of The Emerald Toad of Denwick, was born during the great Ulgham storm of 1887 in a hemel near Bilton. Ethel is believed to be the daughter of Morag the Mort of Hampeth who was burnt at the stake in Felton by a marauding band of southern Christians in 1908.
Ethel, now in her 115th year, lives in a hovel near Rabbit Lonnen.:-3
