I'm gonna be a spoil sport for a moment and run a reminder.

I've told a couple of people recently to reduce the size of their signature and then notice other people with siggies that go beyond the limits as well. This is one announcement to all instead of many PMs to individuals.

4. Signature Rules :

4.1 Size Limits: All signatures should not exceed the following size limits:

Just Text: 8 lines small size or 4 lines size 2 and up to 90 chars per line

Just Image: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size

Text and Image: 4 lines (or 2 with Textsize 2) and one image (in a new line) up to 300 pixels wide, 75 pixels tall and 20k in size.

( Empty lines are counted as well.)

Basically... If your signature is bigger than your post would be if you had no signature then you're going to get in trouble with it.

Thank you for co-operating.

my signature is larger than the allowances... which I find fairly small compared to most places... so I'm no saint., At this point, I'm talking to the folks that are taking up a third of the screen with siggy pictures.

It is quite a remarkable feat for posters in the same thread to successfully indulge themselves in acts of petty cleverness while avoiding the subject of morality!

I'd like my siggie to be a bit wider, however i do know how frustrating it must be for people on dial up. I think keeping them small is a reasonable request & respectful to others. We are a community.

With all due respect Koan how can you post that and expect other members to respect it and follow the rules when you have an image that breaks the rules in your own signature?

I've already posted that, Victor.

I will make mine smaller but I'm currently talking to people who take up over a third of the screen with it. A few have fixed it already.

I do understand that rule entirely, having browsed the forum there are a number of members who have very large signatures indeed and for those on dial up it must be terrible to read threads when posts have such large signatures, I am on broadband and even I find it rather distracting when reading a thread to have to wade through half a page of signature to get to the next post in the thread.

I think it is a very good rule and should be adhered to and not just because it is a rule but out of respect to other forum garden users

A question?

How do you people who have multiple images in your sigs, do that? Like for instance, AngelEyes has several things. I only know how to put one image in.

She's an angel! [1]

God delegated one or two of His mundane functions.
