Ill be leaving for Georgias beautiful Golden Isles again this week end. Off to visit my wonderful friends on St. Simons Island. My home away from home.

I am driving this time... Ive seen so many plane crashes in movies this past month, I thought it was an omen. ( Fearless.. Jeff Bridges) I love it there.

When Im there, it feels as though I have dropped off the face of the earth. Swathed in spanish moss.. the sound of the ocean.. the humidity, and the layed back life style of my friends. It all lulls me into a state of calmness.

We dond do much. Cook dinner, drink some wine, sit outside... but laugh and laugh and laugh. Ill check up on all of you while Im gone. My routine is pretty much the same down there. Early to bed, early to rise. Take my coffee down to the rocks by the ocean, and watch the dolphins jump. Come back, and sit at my dear friend " Squirrells" computer. So, you all go down there with me, everytime I go. :)

Jimbo... dont you live by water? I am lucky. These trips cost me only gas, or the price of a plane ticket... as I stay with my friend, Who by the way, lives in an adorable cottage, on the ocean. There are little shuttered windows, overlooking the sea.. and shrimp boats pass by.

I know exactly what you mean... When I lived there... I felt a little cut off. and everyone there always talks about " Getting off the Island" It is a totally different feeling from living inland. Where I live now, there isnt a drop of water.... only beautiful mountains. Given the choice, on a full time basis.. I prefer it here. I dont really know why. It is just a feeling inside. But it is very nice to have the opportunity to go back and forth. See?? Im not poor)
