The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

Dear WonderWendy3 I am so old fashioned that many of your games I just do not understand - especially word games.
During my lifetime the word "gay" has meant many things and usually they were complimentary?
"She's a gay young thing." for example.
However, if the above is a real honest question - when I was at school the letters CPS usually meant Cycles Per Second in the world of electricity - electronics hadn't been invented then.
DC or Direct Current (Usually from Batteries) is always at the same voltage and never changes (fluctuates)
AC (Alternating Current) switches from a positive to negative - say 240 volts plus and then down under a base line - ZERO - to negative voltage of -240 volts and then back up again. It could be +3 volts to - 3 volts or +15 volts to -15 volts up to hundred of thousands of volts.
It is a wavy line called a sine wave.
The amount of times it changes is called cycles and these can change greatly because to make matter even more simple they are given many names such as frequency = the amount of times it changes in a second.
As a boy I was intrigue by the way my bicycle light went from bright to dull to bright again when I was walking with it in the dark with the dynamo switched on.
The slower I walked the slower it changed (the slow cycle) and the faster I walked the quicker it changed - (a faster cycle)
Riding the bicycle the CPS were so fast that I - and anyone else - could not see the difference at all and it appeared to be a steady light.
ONLY IT WASN'T!
