Parachutist goes into labour in mid-air

Post by Cass »

A pregnant Russian woman went into labour in the middle of a parachute jump.

Marija Usova gave birth to a baby girl minutes after landing from the jump in Moscow.

She had ignored warnings when she decided to arrange the jump when she was eight months pregnant.

Halfway through her jump she suddenly felt an enormous pain and realised she had gone into labour.

She managed to control her descent, although she said she was close to passing out at times, and landed safely where she immediately began to give birth, local media reported.

Doctors on hand rushed to her aid and helped deliver the baby. Usova said the last words she remembers hearing were: "It's a girl" before waking up in a hospital.

I agree pants, doesn't seem very smart. In the old days, they use to tell women to avoid walking down stairs late in their pregnancy (we know now that doesn't mean anything of course). I could imagine what they would say about a landing after a parachute jump.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

A lady in Iowa City was driving under the influence..She was pulled over and failed a field test..They were getting ready to arrest her and she says..I can't not go becuase I am 7 months pregnant and do not have my medicine and vitamins...The cop said - Oh my thats to bad...becuase now you can stay and extra day and wait till Monday to see the judge for CHILD ENDANGERMEN....Her blood levels were 3 times over the legal amount..Can you imagine? What a selfish Bi%$@..MAkes ya mad..Her attorney said - HE will get ehr off because the baby is not a child- its a fetus..and not alive.HMMMMMM...Has anyone delivered from FG 2 months premature...I guess when I was born I was "JUST a FETUS" huh? Imagine being in the splatter zone looking up at her! I'll have dreams about this one.....sigh.....
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group that believes you can do these things. Among them are a few Texas millionaires, or businessman from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." At only 5 months gestation, (20 wks) I delivered a little boy because my cervix would not hold/could not support the weight of pregnancy. There was not a single thing wrong with HIM. When he was born, he was moving around and wiggling his toes...but so tiny. He looked just like my father in law. It was very sad as his lungs were too immature to support his breathing and he died. We held him for 2 hrs. No one will ever tell me that he was not a person, for he taught me more in those 2 hrs than most people learn in a lifetime.

They don't even want you on an American passenger plane during your last month! They wouldn't let me fly for almost 3 months without a docs written notice about my gestation time - in other words - I was big and there was NO flying during the 9th month. I agree about the stupid woman comment - so many things could have gone wrong.

LOL..Your post reminded me of a trip I took to Florida w/ my mom...on the airplane we couldn't figure out why an entire row of seats had been removed. After much surmising, we couldn't stand it any longer and asked a stewardess. She told us that the day before, a lady had delivered a baby right there on the plane!!! The seats obviously had to be removed after that ordeal she explained! We later saw the whole story on Good Morning America and pictures of the babe!!!! LOL
