They were definitely one good thing about the 70s!

Oh I'm sorry Terri, I would've warned you if I knew...yeah they are great....

The Singers/Bands that reminds me of my mom from the 70's are:

Tom Jones

Elvis

Barry Manilow (late 70's-I know)

CCR

I know there is more....let me think

There's always Ray Stevens also...The streak!! whooo hooooooo

My Grandparents JUST got rid of thier shag carpet about 2 years ago...my oldest son was DEVASTATED!! He said "that was my only link to the 70's I had left":wah: :wah:

But, they still have scraps of it down stairs, it was in MINT condition...the carpet was over 30 years old...I can't keep carpet in my house for more than 2 years...let alone 30!!!

We watched Grease last night on TV, and the kids cracked me up...they asked me if I remember the advertisements on the screen of the drive-in movie screen...I had to explain to them that I wasn't ALIVE in the 50's!!!

That of course opened up the discussion of drive-in movies...they want to go to one, are there any open now-adays??? I've only been to 2 in my life and of course when I was a teen ager...a few years back...:yh_whistl :yh_whistl
