Toddler Missing From N.M. Home After Mother Found Dead

RUIDOSO, N.M. -- A search is on for a toddler who is missing from his home in New Mexico, after police found the boy's mother dead.

State police said they are also searching for the dead woman's husband, 22-year-old Ivan Villa. He is not the father of the missing 18-month old, Justin Black, but police think he may have the boy with him.

Police were called to a domestic dispute at the couple's apartment Sunday afternoon. Hours later, a friend found the woman's body. The child was gone.

Police said the man may be headed to Houston, Texas. He's believed to be driving a silver or gray 2000 Ford Mustang with New Mexico license plates.

I just read this.

The New Mexico State Police canceled the Amber Alert on Thursday although the boy Remains missing. It is believed that the suspect and the boy are now in Mexico.

They found the boy in Mexico and have returned him home. THe suspected murderer/known kidnapper is still on the loose.
