Hello Barbara, I am a 6th grade teacher, what kind of advice do you need? I think Kathy Ellen is an elementary teacher.

Hello Pa Pa,
I am a new teacher. My question is, How can I increase students reading comprehension levels? I am working with ELD students.

His answer is a great one, AC.
ELD students-remember at the 3rd grade level, if they don't know the word first in their primary language, it won't transfer over to English. Teach them the word in English-use pictures, the object itself, etc.
