dull and a bit damp here today but still pretty warm. dont really want to go to work but theres loads of things we dont wanna do isnt there ?? lol

Wow, Joan, you had me laughing at those familiar memories that I had almost forgotten !

I can remember when we used to have 'Eagle' delivered and when we heard it drop through the letter box there was a mad dash from three kids and a dad ! Of course dad won, so he always got to read it first ! :-5

i remember a lot of those things too !!

when we lived in the new forest me and my friends would go off from breakfast til dark with the horses and never once did our parents worry about where we were.

how times have changed !!!

anyone remember shrimps, black jacks, flying saucers ??

my mums milk bill was 75p a week ( 15 shillings ) and she had a gold top and silver top every day. petrol 15p a gallon ( 3 shillings ) then i remember when the price started going up and it got to 4s 6d and my husband nearly gave up his car cos he couldnt afford it !! my eldest was a babe in arms then, just in case you think im older than im lettin on

hi neffy,

the doc has put me on co-dydramol which has taken 99% of the pain away now but still dosnt know whats wrong with the ankle, i've got advanced brittle bone disease and broke bones in my foot ( not the one with the dodgy ankle )last year just walking the dog.

thats why i had ankle x rayed, in case i'd done it again but no trace of anything. it does go down with rest or ( thanks to gills suggestion,) an ice pack but th pain is agonizing.

i was born with a curved spine but it dosnt show so im lucky, had several bad falls from horses and slipped discs many times so basically im a candidate for being put down :-5

thats why i make sure my dog is always fighting fit cos if i took him to the vet, im not sure which one of us the vet would treat first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wah:

been very slow today so did lots of cleaning.

had the first new potatos delivered and thy arnt half so much trouble to peel as the old ones.

Glad to hear Carol arrived at her posh location safely

My foster baby Anthony came back yesterday after spending a few days with his dad but he goes again this morning at 9am and comes back Friday.:-1
