Is freedom a possibility?
All thought is 95% (accuracy +/- 3%) unconscious thought.
The mind is embodied.
The ego says, Halt, Hold it.
The container is one of the primary schemas in which we think.
If you put it all together its spells:
• Human ideas are conditioned by deep psychological and social forces.
• We can operate freely but our horizons are limited.
• To facilitate free action we must recognize these horizons and these forces.
• Our horizons are determined by the historical reality into which we are born.
• Knowledge of our horizons and forces marks a beginning of free action and an ideal marks the telos of our action.
• Democracy is a suitable ideal as our telos.

Is freedom a possibility?
Hello this is my first crack at a forum and a great start with an interesting suject.
If you determine freedom as something that if we stay within the law, we should then enjoy, then freedom is possible.
However, over the last ten years so many groups of people have been demonized by government, then for them the answer would be no. So I believe we should look at the bigger picture.
Despite the IRA threat having now lessened, are country is threatened by, who we don't know who the enemy is and I believe thats as a result of didtate type government.
Anyway thats it for now

Wecome!
Freedom is an ideal which we seek but never fully realize. Some of us are fortunate in that we live in a nation that respects this right more than most.

Is freedom a possibility?
If by "freedom" you refer to the ability to do anything you want at any time you desire, and you speak of the concept within the confines of a viable society, then the answer is No. Because human beings are selfish mammals, laws must exist to guide and protect them from themselves and each other. "Liberty with order" is much healthier.

I do not think anyone would define freedom to be the ability to do anything you want. If so, then, obviously, freedom does not exist.
