Oh crap, aquarium is bust, help!

Post by crazygal »

Anyone had an aquarium crack along the bottom? I am in a state here. My last one had a leak and I just sealed the edge but this one has a crack along the whole bottom of the tank. I don't have a clue how it happened and don't have the money for another one. Even more skint now since having Jade and her dad not buying her a damn thing. :-5 Half of the living room is soaked in stinking water as half of the water had leaked out before I noticed at 4am. Thank goodness for my baby waking me else it would have been worse and I'd have had dead fish too. I am currently keeping them in my kitchen bin, far from ideal as they're so big. I need to somehow fix this aquarium or get another one. Anyone got one they don't use that they possibly want to sell or know if I can get a new piece of glass fitted cheaply for the bottom of the one I have? I have only had it just over a year from new. :(

You can sign up to your local area and say that you need a new one or look out for aquariums being given away. It's really handy!

Thanks a lot, I'll go have a look right now. :D

Edit: Oh damn, it's a Yahoo Group. Thanks anyway.

Called Pets At Home and may be buying a tank for £28 as the rest is fine, it's just the tank I need. Now some grovelling to the parents for a loan.
