I do use it myself too but only occasionally. I wouldn't type out whole paragraphs using the dots where commas are meant to be.

I dont have a clue. My friend once owned and "ran" a movie theater. Actually most of the time his wife and kids ran it while he sat in his easy chair and smoked his pipe. He told me how he could not afford to get the latest and best movies. by the time he got them they were on TV. Of course it helped it was the only theater in his small town. He made most of his money by the concession stand.
