What they should do is when the little sh*t has grown up with a wife and kids, is show them a picture of what he did to that poor woman.

He should never be allowed to forget what he has done :-5

Another "success" for the liberal thinkers who wanted to ban discipline and got their way. he should be birched, then imprisoned for life

Like this didn't happen in the past? At least nowadays we don't automatically assume the teacher must have been asking for it-Another success for liberal thinking.

perhaps it did but not to the degree it is now...... there was a time when kids had respect for their teachers, now they shoot them, stab them, rape them, bully them, need i carry on?!

and if you argument is that its always happened then as a supposedly intelligent race shouldnt we have done something about it? not encouraged even less discipline in our schools etc........ parents cant even smack their own kids anymore, i remember my mum giving me a good whack on my bum and i sure paid attention to what she was saying and learnt my lesson

I'd agree with you to some extent that there is a problem with schools no longer having the ultimate sanction of kicking disruptive kids out of school-my wife is a teacher in a local sink school where a lot of kids expelled from other scools ended u[. many with severe behavioural problems or social problems that not so long ago would have been in special schools-the ones that were all shut down in the name of social inclusion so you get first year classes where a third of them cannot read and write. Yes there is a problem but birching everybody doesn't work. It didn't work in the past. Neither does social inclusion it's a money saving gimmick some kids need special help not put on a school where the teacher has ro spend all their tome controlling them to the detriment of everybody else.

You used to get full scale gang battles in inner cities that kind of thing doesn't happen as much as it used to. Domestic violence was covered up because many thought a husband had the right to smack his wife or girlfriend if she mesbehaved there isn't more of that kind of thing than there used to be people just don't accept it any more so it gets reported more. Rapes are still undereported because of the underlying assumption that women ask for it. You still get judges and others that think if a girl happens to be out for the night and gets raped it was her fault for wearing a short skirt.

Bullying in schools has always been rife nowadays many think it wrong and kids speak out, Used to be it was don't be such a wimp everybody gets bullied learn to cope with it. You still hear people expressing that kind of opinion, the victim has to cope with it, some people ask to be bullied, it's part of life.

When I was at school (longer ago than I like to think) there were full scale protection rackets by groups of bullies, nobody spoke out because no action would be taken because that kind of thing didn't happen and the bastards would get you next week. OK you learn strength of character by dealing with that kind of thing but there are better ways.

Don't forget there were also teachers that abused their position and used corporal punishment on every possible occasion, forget a book, three of the belt (we had the taws they used to put a cloth over the wrists because if the aim was off it damaged the veins) ask a question, being cheeky, three of the belt. I had one teacher that got fired because of violence to pupils have you any idea how bad it had to be for him to get fired.

Why do people have a rosey view of the past it wasn't all good

Not so long ago this incident would have been covered up so as not to shame the teacher. No doubt somewhere sonmeone thinks she must have asked for it.
