anyone know of any spoken word I might like?
Anyone have any good spoken word to recommend? My favorite kind are things inspired by the psychedelic generation and/or nature. I have two of Timothy Leary's albums, like those, especially "You can be anything this time around". I also really dig this guy: http://www.richshapero.imeem.com/ who mixes primal themes with beautiful wilderness descriptions. I have "The Ram - Wild Animus" by him.

I don't know if it's what you have in mind but Jeff Buckley did a killer version of Edgar Allan Poe's "Ulalume." You might get it on Limewire or one of those.

Cool! Thanks for the recommendation. Will have to check this out. I am definitely looking for bizarre things - things where the format is unique and the message is something I agree with. Like, I like "The Ram" because it is melodic and musical, yet parts are very difficult to listen to, and those parts are where I feel most drawn to the message (a return to our instinctual nature).
