I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question....so I'll understand if it gets moved.

I'm not extremely new to the "internet world" I've only been here since 2000, so to some people I'm still learnin'!!

I was wondering if some of you that are more experienced in "internet lingo" can share some of the ones that we may not be used to...for example:

brb = be right back

lol = laugh out loud

lmao = laugh my a$$ off

btw = by the way

bbl = be back later

Please share some of your favorite...and I expect this to be interesting btw!!

my boyfriend says that alot. He's been an internet/forum junkie for like 8 years or something at least.

He says it when something is really good, like

"Papa John's pizza, FTW!"

actually, for Papa Johns he says "FTMFW"

that has a bad word in it though lol, don't want to get in forum trouble

It comes from the hacker/gaming communities, were common words are misspelt all the time.

Like teh instead of the - for example it's used like 'sally is teh hot', meaning sally is hot.

You've seen all the owned pics on the interweb haven't you?
