I didn't know the Saudis were equipped to do that. Besides, they're historically humane, they don't go in for indiscriminate mass slaughter.

This man should surely join USSTRATCOM as soon as possible, they need motivated recruits.

This sounds to me like the best news yet that I've heard from the Middle East.

I hope the US politicos finally get the message we are not wanted there.

Off the top, I'm happy that they are finally taking a stance on Palestine that might help with the humanitarian crisis. Second, it is a good step towards getting the Arabs to "stop killing each other" as has been used to justify the occupation of Iraq.

to those who think we should not be in IRAQ

we are free men a few years back a man took charge of his country and decided to attack a smaller country

he also started to have a race killed

he wanted to rule his country his way right or wrong

he did not decare war on us we declered war on him

this man was not saddam

his name was Hitler

as free men we can not and will not accept this

if we had we would all be speaking german

sadam started the same way

should we be there i say yes

should we back our troops YES

Scrat;585117 wrote: He's partially right about Russia, she is not the biggest oil producer BUT the potential is there. She has so much unexplored assets it boggles the mind, the problem is getting the stuff out of the ground and to the market. Russia is a very unforgiving land. It's hard to build a pipeline over 300 miles of swamp let alone a railroad or anything else.

Russia does have a vested interest in keeping prices high but then she needs to keep her customers happy too while competing with the central asian oil producers, Kazhaks, Tadjiks who are essentiall in a race with her to get to Chinas market.

I think the old supply and demand system is keeping the oil prices high. The Saudis upped their production a few months back because they wanted to keep oil steady at $50 a barrel. When those British soldiers were taken prisoner didn't the price jump like $5 a barrel? The tensions between Iran and America in the gulf are doing it also. If Iran wants too they will hit the oil refineries ect in the gulf region, they have the means and nothing to really lose in a war with the US.

People think they will go after the carriers, I wouldn't. I'd go down taking as much of the infrastructure of the region with me as possible. This tension is what keeps the oil prices up along with the profits of Bushs friends.

Libya is largely irrelevant in this now IMO.

well the guys point was that the US bombed Libya for fear of them being nuke capable now ,now Iran is going the same way Israel or the US will bomb them before the plant before its up and running , i think he said something about the Israelis bombed Iraq coz of their nuclear power plant  i figured you would know
