My daughter, Romy sent me this photo taken yesterday at MTV, Camden Town, London. She looks so tiny in comparison.

It's not a surprise she is very pretty, considering where she gets her looks from...

Gosh K.Snyder. You are toooo kind. Grin. :-4

My son, Mik (Michael Stanmore) has just got his first listing on IMDB too, for a short film called PressPlay. He sent me a DVD copy of the film and it bowled me over. Nice feeling. It's going to be shown at the Swansea film festival in May :D

Thanks Wendy. You know what the BEST thing is? When your kids tell you they are happy in their jobs, when they tell you they are doing what they really want to do, always hoped to do. Romy runs the MTV channel, Total Music Factory. Mik's still working some freelance shifts in television ( CNBC) but is increasingly moving to film, editing other people's films, but also writing, directing and filming his own. He has composed music for the scores of a couple of films too.

Celebrities of one sort or another waltz into the MTV studios all the time for interviews etc, Tater, often with crowds of fans barricaded outside the building. Staff keep a professional distance - it's part of the normal work ethics, but occasionally they do get caught up. Romy's had a few interesting accidental enounters. One story she likes is the time she was standing on the steps outside, singing (dunno where she gets this!!) in a raucous Aussie manner. And it was Wind Beneath My Wings. And she suddenly realised that one of her workmates was signalling to her to stop. The whole of Westlife had just emerged from the studio, and were standing there, behind her, looking drop dead gorgeous, inscrutably Irish and a bit puzzled... it's their song.
