My news.
Okay, I have news as well. I have been as you may know, trying to get a research post in science for while now. Well today I got the one I have been after for a while, its research into the development of new sustainable crops for possible use as a source of biofuels, (as an alternative to gasoline, and diesels in cars and generators etc) and the use of various effluents to fertilize these crops, and also their use in the remediation of soils as well as a source of biofuels. Its based in the national center for agri-science an environmental research in Ireland, and University College Dublin, and I will be working towards me masters and PHd degrees as part of this work. Its a great thing to happen to me, as things have been tough lately career-wise and I really wanted this, so I am delighted of course. I will be pretty much up to me eyeballs with it though, thats one thing, so it might make me an even more sporadic poster, but I will be around of course as well! Thanks to everyone with their encouragement for me in keeping on keeping on, its appreciated. I am very happy today! :-6

Bio-fuels are all the talk these days in agriculture here. All the farm magazines we get have articles about it.

That's tremendous, you've been talking wistfully of how much you'd like that for ages, I'm delighted you've got the offer.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate all the good thoughts, its been a good day for me, and its lovely to be able to give you some good news. The stuff I am doing is very interesting, and yes its all linked to the use of these new crops for biofuels, its being run on a European level, but its not actually "public domain" in terms of papers published on things yet, there are issues involved in that, so I won't go into specifics or talk about it in detail, but yes minks its all that kinda area, which is very much an important area of research at the moment. So its good work for my career, and its also valid and worthwhile as well, I am very happy about it, so again, thanks everyone, and I will of course keep you filled in on interesting aspects of it all I am sure.
