Assaulted by a Frozen Sausage

You couldn`t make this up (and I haven`t) but unless you live in the UK you may not have heard about it.

A motorist in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex wound down his car window and was hit (and injured) by somebody who had thrown a frozen sausage at his face!

Doubtless we shall be combing the Essex countryside for stockpiles of these sausages of mass destruction! :-6

I could never walk into a police station and say 'Officer, I'd like to report someone who has thrown a frozen sausage at me through my car window and injured my face with it'

Pity the poor copper who had to keep his face straight when taking a statement and bagging the evidence

When I'm walking down the street with my shopping, it never occurs to me to get a frozen burger or sausage out and lob it through someone's car window.

As much as I enjoyed laughing at this story it beggars belief that apart from joking about it, someone actually DID IT

wonder if it was done for a bet

Yes, it REALLY happened - check out the BBC news page for Monday 18 April 05!

I know the `victim` ended up with a broken nose, but, personally, I would have been tempted to shout back, "But I ordered eggs and bacon, too!"

very strange idea though but a frozen sausage can do a lot of damage

This story was only slightly more serious than the time when my brother as a 9 year old, many years ago, had to go to hospital to have a Ffyes banana sticker removed surgically from his nose as to pull it off would have damaged the skin or something...there must be something about food and injury!
