Itchy nipples, OMG!

Help, I have been pinching them, scratching and twisting and flicking. Now they're not just itchy they're sore. Any advice please or a spare pair of hands?

try some e45 cream or use cool wet cloths to stop the itching, and do not scratch!

Yes I had to use it when I got mastitis, you don't have to cook it, just put them in the fridge then slightly dampen them, then stick them on your knockers, then hey presto, all better:-6

well apparently.... the best thing for an itch is saliva........ so some spit and a finger and gently rub around the areola and nipple will give you some relief....... if not a cool moist cloth can also help....... avoid anything hot!

Try Canestan - don't use Germalene, it's too strong, but Canestan should be about right. I caught thrush, and it cleared it up in next to no time. It's also useful for excessive sweating just under your breasts, although personally, I think you'd find Johnson's baby powder more beneficial. I hope this helps, more than some of the sillier suggestions. A woman's breasts are sensative, and I hope you find something to ease your discomfort.

Try some Lansinoh cream .... its in a purple tube, you can probably get it at most places like Boots etc. Does wonders for itchy, cracked,sore, bleeding nipples (lovely, but most mums have been there!) Its 100% natural aswell, so you can use it while breast feeding and know that your little one isnt swallowing a mouthful of chemicals!:)

Thanks, gonna ask my doctor about that just before I have her as that stuff is expensive. Been recommended by a lot of people though.
