Walking, most people forget how to when they own a car, or live by the bus stop.

Last summer I would walk to the next bus stop and little things like that, helpped me to lose weight.

I'm surprised that you ask this question living in Scotland! look around you at all of the beautiful countryside, buy a good pair of walking boots & enjoy. :)

you got some good advise in the thread already. Used to be and to some extent still am a workout nut. 52 years old and still hit the weights and jog. My friends will ask me if they should by this or that they saw advertised on TV. I tell them if you can't go for a brisk walk what makes you think you will use a machine?

you propably have one of the best work out devises ever made in your home, the stairs, just go up and down until you can do it 25 times without stopping and do a good walk every day and you'll be in good shape.

Most important ... go slow you need a lifestyle change not a two month program, do what you will be able to do for the rest of your life.
