Rug Rats - Come Back HERE!!!

I went back to subbing recently even with my stupid non-walking knee. I told the kids they had to help me out because I couldn't kneel beside their desks for personal attention anymore..............they had to come to my desk. I REALLY hate that.............I love giving one-on-one at their desks....it is almost private and none of the other kids know they need help because I do it with each child to check their progress.

SOOOOOOOOO ANYWAY. The kids in my last class devised a way for me to call them off the playground at morning, recess and lunch. They told me to yell Rug Rats - Come Back HERE!!! They felt very special and I think it will happen with the other classes I sub. Don't you just love kids?

Oh, I hope you were my sub today! I am waiting to see what my room looks like tomorrow. But my kids are pretty good, I hope..............................

AWWWW, I used to Sub, and I LOVED it...they are so adorable. I used to be a reg. sub at one of the elem. schools, only for 2 years though...I miss it...I used to love the kids running down the hallway to give me a hug and calling my name...they were so precious!:-4

Rug-rats...too cute!!

They always run up to me and ask if I am their sub today!!!!!! That always makes me feel good. AND CHONSI..........I always follow the teacher's directions. I try to stay with the same elementary school. The kids get to know you so they get comfy just like they would with their OWN TEACHER.

yeah, I worked at the one school all the time, I was the Gym teacher for 11 days straight when the reg. was out for his wife having a baby. I loved it!! I always followed the teachers instructions, and tried to not let the kids run all over me, yet trying to be nice too...used to love to hear them whisper to each other "she's nice"...so cute...awww I'm missing the rug rats!!:-4

Yeppers.....MY rug rats.........LMAO

I am going back to a classroom tomorrow where they made one of the boys leave because he had such bad trust issues and was hell-on-wheels for any sub. This young man drew a picture and wrote me a note about how much he liked me last time I subbed. The teacher and principal were surprised. I think he may get to stay with his classmates for 1/2 a day tomorrow........depends.

awww, I once got letters from a whole class of students minus about 2-3 children. they were 3rd graders...and just didn't behave. I've dealt with tough ones, and they weren't horrible, they just refused to do the work etc. So the next day when teacher came back, I was a sub for another teacher, they were instructed to write me notes of apologies...and one girl was SO bitter...turned it around that it was MY fault...:-3

Still love em though!! I miss it...wish I could do it again, but not steady work.
