We're supposed to get 1-3 inches starting tomorrow night. We havn't had a winter like this in a long time. As long as it's not ice though, it will be ok. Last ice storm was BAD.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

PLEASE don't send it my way!

Interesting, its probably just a bad winter, but climate change doesn't mean everything is going to get hotter, it means weather will become more extreme, and judging on the crazy and very un-British isles storms we have been having this year, it seems we are experiencing problems as well, but you can't go on one years weather or any one particular weather event, to judge what is happening in the climate, you need to look at patterns over the long term, but there is certainly a lot of evidence in the last few years that actual direct weather impacts are starting to be felt globally, thats another discussion I guess.

Maybe the strong el nino system this year is driving the moisture up along the west coast of the America's then its meeting this cold air from Canada, round about where you are and then snow. I dunno, I am not a meterologist. Its interesting though.

We've had very mild winters for about the last 5-6 years. I'm happy about that too!! We usually get hit pretty hard in Jan and Feb., now that Jan is over...I'm a happy girl, only one more month to go. Although I was caught on film in a snow storm 3 years ago when it snowed in March...I was on a lunch break and got stopped in parking lot from reporters asking me what I thought about the snow...told them, ummm it's white??:wah: (not really...:sneaky: )

are you anywhere near the Ozarks? I was suppose to have my new Puppy delivered yesterday but the flight was canceled......they just had that ice storm and was without power for over a week. I'm home from work for the rest of the week because I thought my puppy would be here. My puppy will be senior at this rate. Seriously, you are suppose to get more snow tonight?:-2

The predictions for here were a mild winter, like last year. And through the holidays, and up to a couple of weeks ago, it seemed those predictions were accurate. But now we have had a couple of weeks of daily snowfall, bitter cold temps and ice. Yuck.
Then, last Thursday, on the day of practically the worst snow so far, our 4 wheel drive vehicle broke down...a brake line broke. So we have been having to drive the PT Cruiser, which Rick would rather had kept off the road during this bad spell. But, it has actually handled pretty well, considering.
The Durango is fixed now, though. One of Rick's co workers is driving him over to pick it up after work. The guy has to go out that way anyway, so Rick thought it would be easier than me bringing him.
Now the weather is clearing up some, with no predicitions of heavy snow over the next few days.
