I don't understand why the Sheriff won't allow another set of eyes.? Territorial?

Ego? Is someone from the Dept. involved?

I have my own difficulties with a Sheriff / DA and I could only wish that America's Most Wanted or 48 Hours would show interest in the Homicide case I have studied for nearly 2 years.

Peninsula is a combination mental health and rehab facility that treats people with addiction problems and mental health issues. SO it could be linked to that or to a similar facility in Johnson City that Johnia had worked for. The investigator would probably need a court order to examine patient records, probably not an easy thing to get without some link to someone there. I did ask the family if Johnia had any enemies, if she had gotten any coworkers fired or in trouble and the family says no, they don't know of anything like that happening to her.

Sheriff Tim is an egomaniac.I think that's pretty obvious from what has been happening in this community in circumstances he has been involved in. As you may be aware from reading the courts have said he has to leave office due to term limits so the county commission is set to pick a new Sheriff tomorrow.It looks like it will be one of his deputies. We hope the new Sheriff will be more cooperative in trying to solve the case than Sheriff Timmy has been.

I don't know who you are but, I'd be looking at the fiance for several reasons.
