When I heard a plane flying over about to land at Birmingham Airport, I thought I REALLY wouldn't wanna be on that. I landed in strong crosswinds once and the plane was out of control. I thought we were going to crash. The plane landed on one wheel then started heading off the runway towards the grass. A very abrupt turn by the pilot made the plane feel like it was tipping over. Loads of screaming etc and not just by me  Me and Laura were still a bit trembly half an hour later. Luckily I had some clean underpants in my hand luggage. Too much info?...sorry :o

Last time I flew anywhere, we took off in icy conditions. Took a couple weeks for the nail marks in David's hands to go away. :D

Apparently ten people have been killed in these storms today in the UK, 7 fishermen drowned last week off the south Coast of Ireland, one of the people killed today was the Managing Director of Birmingham Airport, which is a bit ironic seeing as Kram was just talking about it. Stormy? You bet your bum it is, and we are used to storms. :-2

:wah: I yelled at Dave when I was in labor with our daughter. He had the nerve to bring a bag of Taco Bell in the room. And it smelled awful to me.

Yep, we have to pay for part of our medical insurance and pay for a private insurance to pay what the government sponsored one dont pay. And as you said we have paid into it for years now they call it entitlement which to them is a giveaway. They are looking hard at it like we are a drag on them and they wish we were dead. Two Governors here are trying to pass a law that everyone must buy health insurance on their own. They say if you cannot afford it they will help pay for the insurance. Most private insucrance companys stiff you on part or all of what they are supposed to pay. They know you will give up after a while.

Ah Bez, it is hard either way. Here we pay for insurance, and they only cover certain things unless you spend alot. I have to pay all nursing expenses for my husband's care, I work extra jobs to keep the main one because of that. You just go with the flow here when that happens, and hope it works out.

Truthfully I dont know if they have taco salad. I never got that. This is just a fast bood place. If I want good mexican food I go to Ninos or Chellinos. Ninos has carne asada to die for and they have fajitas too. I like both. Ninos has huge schooners of beer too in frosted goblets. Almost need two hands to hoist it.

Well I can cook, but I don't like discussing it because it always sounds like I am talking about something else! :wah: No I am a pretty decent cook, but I am not great at DIY, but I can mend a car a little bit, though not much, so my domestic skills are about 50/50. I can also use a vacuum cleaner as well.

Oh right....I was genuinely wondering why I don't seem to post so much in what was (and probably still is) my favourite thread. I posted randomly without even reading anything that was being posted. I shall endeavour to put in an appearance more often. I've always seen it as the thread where most of the folks I dig showed up on a regular basis for a bit of banter.
