So when the Pizza person delivers your Pizza, how much do you tip them?

And do you tip them better if they bring it really fast & really hot?

And what if they mix up the order, do they still get a tip? :-2

And lastly, who makes/delivers the best Pizza?

Usually around 15%

And do you tip them better if they bring it really fast & really hot?

Nope

And what if they mix up the order, do they still get a tip? :-2

Sometimes smaller, sometimes no tip, depending on who's fault the mess-up is.

And lastly, who makes/delivers the best Pizza?

yep, 15%-like a resturant

And do you tip them better if they bring it really fast & really hot?

nope....don't really pay attention to that...just so glad I didn't have to cook or go get it

And what if they mix up the order, do they still get a tip? :-2

Yeah, again, usually don't notice until they are gone....

And lastly, who makes/delivers the best Pizza?

Well, I like Papa Johns, and Dominos are okay...

On the flip-side of this, back in October after being un-employed for a month, I took a job at Dominos, delivering pizza...part time, got a full time job too...I only lasted 2 months...the people in rural areas don't care that you drive 10 miles one way...they give you $2.00...and the back roads...:-5 ...needless to say, wasn't worth the time I spent away from my kids... But taught me to be good to my delivery people...it's not an easy job...a fun one though if I didn't have 3 kids that I needed to be spending time with/caring for!

We order from a local pizzaria, and we tip about 15% if it is delivered.

I usually tip about 10 to 15%. We usually order from Marks, a local chain. They make the best pizza in our area. But actually, the place is so close, we rarely use delivery, and just go pick it up.

I did have a problem once with the wrong order being delivered...Marks fixed it by giving me my next order free.

I guess our equivalent is the take out curry. We have one about once a month when we get home too late to start cooking but hungery enough to need a meal.

No local delivery or take out pizza for us. We have to go to Dumas, which is 20 miles away to get pizza. :(

Our only pizza place is Sonny's unless you get those buffet style pizzas from the convenient store, which are actually better, but nothing delivers here.

I go for the Welsh Rarebit - a drop of the Lee & Perrins goes a long way :-)

Cold Pizza has got to be one of the greasiest, rankest foods out.

Usually $3.00, it's only a little over a mile away! (Pizza only costs $12.00)

And do you tip them better if they bring it really fast & really hot?

Yes another $1.00 if we get the guy who always brings it really hot!

And what if they mix up the order, do they still get a tip?

Mix up translates to smaller tip, to none, depending on mixup!

And lastly, who makes/delivers the best Pizza?

Pizza Hut, Papa Johns in CT, "Jacks" in FL

Take out pizza is way too expensive for what it is, I mean I like pizza, its lovely, but I am not paying 20 euros for a 16 inch pizza, its nuts, so I would usually get and Indian meal or a chinese one, its better value.

So when the Pizza person delivers your Pizza, how much do you tip them? Here in Central Florida, used to be that you paid for the pizza (plus tax, of course) and then you figured out a reasonable tip. But now most of the major pizza places (Papa John's, Donato's, etc.) have changed to tack on a delivery charge. I always thought this was now in replace of having to figure out a tip (and that it would ensure they would get one). No? Or do your pizza carriers not charge a delivery fee where you are?

And do you tip them better if they bring it really fast & really hot? No - as stated above, payment of the delivery charge

And what if they mix up the order, do they still get a tip? As stated above, payment of the delivery charge

And lastly, who makes/delivers the best Pizza? Papa John's

Oh in relation to who does the best pizza, in Ireland I would say "Mizzoni's" cause they are Italians and they do it Italian style, which is the nicest. Which is not surprising as they invented it. In terms of tips, if you get a euro or two you are lucky, we don't tip here, not a lot anyway, and not for things like pizza.

I have never had a pizza delivered.

Shoud one really tip for normal service? Hitherto not, in the UK.

If they mix up the order, surely it should be re-delivered!

I make the best pizza.

IMO, if you have delivery available to you, we only have 2 places that do (and that is just in the last 5 years or so)....I would say to tip the drivers...

#1, they have to put gas in the car

#2 wear and tear on their car to bring to you

#3 especially if weather conditions aren't great

#4 YOU don't have to leave your house or cook the food, someone is bringing it to you, does it hurt to give them a few extra dollars??

#5 I realize that it may vary from country to country/state to state....but speaking from experience, they only pay you minimum wage and a small delivery charge, which they keep half of. When I worked at Dominos, they only paid 1.00 per delivery plus min. wage...and then tips you keep.
