My son was a strict vegeterian for years. He began to not feel well. Many vegs do not supply their bodies with the missing protein. When he began to eat meat again... he ate it with a vengence, It used to make me ill to sit next to him in a restaurant. Bloody steaks... and he started eating weird things like Bison and Ostrich......

Precisely why I looked into nutrition. After nearly 15 years, I've not suffered from malnutrition because of being a vegetarian.

Galbally;512821 wrote: Just thinking about this one, I am a meat eater, but I have gone out with some vegetarians, and so naturally you tend to eat less meat and all that as you share food, and go to vegetarian restaurants, and all of that. I have to say that any of the vegetarian girls I did go out with were not food nazis and didn't mind me being a meat-eating guy, though you could tell that the blue steaks did disturb some of them. I also found that when I was eating less meat in my diet I didn't mind at all, and I was always able to have the odd bacon sandwich if I get a craving for some proper animal flesh, but when left to my own devices I tend to eat more meat, more out of habit than anything else I would say. So, what are other people's experiences about going out with veggies, and veggies what about us meat eaters? Anyone lose a lover because of a ham roll? Its an interesting one I think.

Also where does fish fit into the whole picture? I love fish most of all I think!
I married a vegetarian. I happen to be a carnivore. I must have the occasional greasy burger, but other than that, we have had no problems whatsoever! :yh_bigsmi

Read the entire thread and you will see how others deal with it . And whats up with hi-jacking the thread back to its original purpose.:wah:
