Criteria for post deletion

A buddy of mine just posted here and it was immediatly removed. As far as I know, it was not offensive. Would someone please tell me what criteria is used for post deletion?

I saw that. It disappeared. I don't know the content o fit but perhaps was it the "F word" in the title, even though it was doctored to look different?

From what I understand, half the mods can delete spam, the other half can delete trolls. Neither of those fall under that catagory for deleting Trinity's thread.

AND I would like to go on record as saying that censoring a WORD is a far cry from deleting someone's ENTIRE POST! Whomever did that f...ooooookin SUCKS.

aw it was a bit of creative writing, just to say hello to the members here who know me. I admit, I said the F word.. once or thrice, but it was meant in fun! It's not like I was flaming anyone

Come in here and explain to me what it was I did, that required the deletion of my thread? I may have cursed, but as I have already pointed out, you can censor words without entirely erasing a thread.

EDIT: I have been known to move/delete threads and posts before. I'll be damned though, if I don't stick around and defend my position.

It doesn't seem to be preventing in-forum flaming, and nasty threads regarding equally nasty PMs. Sooo... what IS it accomplishing?

Her post could hardly be construed as "graffiti" as she already has friends here and she does not typically run around the internet and troll. The fact she already knew some members here should have clued in Ms Bans-a-lot, who has yet to grow a pair, that she needed to chill out. I absolutly see mod abuse which was something your head dog was trying to avoid.

Next, she's going to be Jives

I'd say an apology is warranted.

Thanks for clearing that up for me since the "person in power" couldn't find the time in their busy "delete posts" schedule to explain it to me.

And if this is the case ("delete spam or threads/posts at users request), then this particular "power" has abused her status.

Everyone is bound by social strictures. There are many levels of society, and

what's "done" in one level quite possibly isn't the done thing in another. A

simple fact, really. Break the rules in any level, and be excluded, is a normal rule.

Part of the problem with talking openly in a broad-spectrum forum (FG) about

things that are taboo in normal society has recently been demonstrated here -

a contributer has had access to FG removed because of various thread titles,

The site's income, which pays the overheads, depends on the words in the filter not appearing on the front page. It's why the filter exists. It's such a simple concept. It's nothing to do with censorship, it's to do with hardware and bandwidth costs. Has that never been explained to people before?

From what I gather from this thread, I guess it was a private "in" joke. It just looked like a lot of profane grousing to me, but I wasn't in on the gag. I'm glad I read about it here first, because if this was my first impression of Trinity, I wouldn't have been impressed. Having read her posts here made for a much more favourable introduction.
