I saw that. It disappeared. I don't know the content o fit but perhaps was it the "F word" in the title, even though it was doctored to look different?

Its just a word. I hate censorship.

From what I understand, half the mods can delete spam, the other half can delete trolls. Neither of those fall under that catagory for deleting Trinity's thread.

*sigh*
I hereby promise to TRY not to use the F word, no matter how lovely it may look, (and I had a really great font)
Why censor the word btw? Just out of curiosity, does anyone here actually live in a world where they don't use, or hear anyone else use the word??? I mean for f...oook's sake (
)
AND I would like to go on record as saying that censoring a WORD is a far cry from deleting someone's ENTIRE POST! Whomever did that f...ooooookin SUCKS.
Ever seen this: * ??? All you have to do to make that symbol, is type the number 8, whilst holding down the shift key. You're WELCOME!

aw it was a bit of creative writing, just to say hello to the members here who know me. I admit, I said the F word.. once or thrice, but it was meant in fun! It's not like I was flaming anyone
Nice to meet ya red

Thanks Trinity!
Heck, I don't care what words you use. They're just words and you should hear *my* language. (Or not!) My gosh some of the words I've seen on here are far worse than what you said.

Thats not how I understand it and obviously is the case since her thread was deleted just seconds after it was created.

That's it right there. Whoever did it, you don't have a hair on your ass.
Come in here and explain to me what it was I did, that required the deletion of my thread? I may have cursed, but as I have already pointed out, you can censor words without entirely erasing a thread.
EDIT: I have been known to move/delete threads and posts before. I'll be damned though, if I don't stick around and defend my position.

To be perfectly honest, I don't HAVE to do anything to make my posts work, as anyone who knows me can verify, and IF I decide to stick around a place that's so insecure as to delete a thread at the first sign of possible contention, then you will find out as well.
Meanwhile, it must be nice to have so many members, that you can afford to offend someone who would without doubt, contribute to your foum. (you as in 'the powers that be', not you as in 'diuretic').
So let me ask YOU a question. I've looked around a bit, and what I see is several threads of drivel, MANY threads wherein one person posts, and the rest flow in like sheeple and agree, and several threads where people disagree which inevitably leads to several more threads worth of forum-in-fighting. What exactly is being accomplished by prohibiting certain 'naughty' words?? It doesn't seem to be preventing in-forum flaming, and nasty threads regarding equally nasty PMs. Sooo... what IS it accomplishing?

Sorry luv, I didn't see this. It was a simple thread, that I made. It wasn't a post regarding another thread.
I'll post it for you (to the best of my memory) and hope that it isn't so *gasp!* offensive  that it gets deleted here too:
Title : I'm Utterly F-ing devist8ed
What? I can't say F here? Oh F! I'm F-ed then!
realizing her days here are numbered, Trin decideds to kick back and F off until the forum police notice that she's loitering.
*waves to devist8me*
*Flips off g-man* F you! and I mean that!
*pats lap and waves guppy to have a seat and get comfy*
* wonders where spot F-ed off to??*
^^I have taken the liberty of censoring my own F words, in an effort to A: not offend the delicate sensibilities of whomever gasped when I posted this the first time, and B: to show the dear sweet darling how one may censor without deleting.

Now you see? You run about touting how one musn't use the F word, because it shows how little they actually think, but you sit there attempting to flame me. I wonder why? You, of course, may continue, but I assure you that your efforts are in vain. AND, nice deflection of the question.

Diuretic.....are you the mod in question who deleted her post??? Then stfu, your getting on my nerves.
Her post could hardly be construed as "graffiti" as she already has friends here and she does not typically run around the internet and troll. The fact she already knew some members here should have clued in Ms Bans-a-lot, who has yet to grow a pair, that she needed to chill out. I absolutly see mod abuse which was something your head dog was trying to avoid.
Next, she's going to be Jives
I'd say an apology is warranted.

Thanks for clearing that up for me since the "person in power" couldn't find the time in their busy "delete posts" schedule to explain it to me.
And if this is the case ("delete spam or threads/posts at users request), then this particular "power" has abused her status.

Everyone is bound by social strictures. There are many levels of society, and
what's "done" in one level quite possibly isn't the done thing in another. A
simple fact, really. Break the rules in any level, and be excluded, is a normal rule.
Part of the problem with talking openly in a broad-spectrum forum (FG) about
things that are taboo in normal society has recently been demonstrated here -
a contributer has had access to FG removed because of various thread titles,
see below:

The site's income, which pays the overheads, depends on the words in the filter not appearing on the front page. It's why the filter exists. It's such a simple concept. It's nothing to do with censorship, it's to do with hardware and bandwidth costs. Has that never been explained to people before?

It hasn't been deleted (or, maybe it was restored ?)
It's here, under "Today's Posts" :
http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/showt ... hp?t=23360
From what I gather from this thread, I guess it was a private "in" joke. It just looked like a lot of profane grousing to me, but I wasn't in on the gag. I'm glad I read about it here first, because if this was my first impression of Trinity, I wouldn't have been impressed. Having read her posts here made for a much more favourable introduction.
