That Sutcliffe maniac- looking at that big photo in your link. Venus, even if I didn't now know he was a killer, I would think there was something not right with him. He has dead eyes. I just got a big case of the creeps!

This is all very sad. Every victim so far has been hooked on drugs and become prostitues to pay for their habits. Some of the girls have kids......some of the families didn't know what their daughters were doing.....

If my memory serves me right, Sutcliffe murdered his victims over a number of years but this person has murdered probably 5 in a few weeks.

There are reportedly 30 prostitutes in Ipswich....they seem to know or know of each other. My half brother lives in Ipswich...it must be quite shocking and worrying for people who live there....if the murderer is targeting prostitutes NOW, who know when/if he might just hunt women in general....I guess the experts (profilers) will know about this.

At the moment, my heart goes out to the families of these girls....tragic waste of life and a truly horrible way to end it.

Don't know why, but I feel pretty emotional about this at the moment

In the United Kingdom, prostitution is not formally illegal, but several activities surrounding it are outlawed. In England and Wales, the legal situation is:
  • for a prostitute to loiter or conduct solicitation in a street or public place is illegal, therefore outlawing street prostitution.

it is also illegal for a potential client to solicit persistently, or solicit from a motor vehicle ("kerb crawling").

owning or running a brothel is illegal.

child prostitution is specifically illegal for the person paying (where child is defined as younger than 18, although the age of consent is 16)

controlling prostitution for gain is an offence, banning pimping.

Prostitution *itself* isn't illegal - however, it is illegal to 'procure' a prostitute or

set up a brothel and live off 'immoral earnings' (pimps, madams), solicit in the

street or explicitly advertise as a prostitute.

As far as I can tell from reading the newspapers, there was no sexual activity - they were just murdered -

Obviously I feel both for the victim and their family, but I feel doubly for the berieved family because of the vicious, callous deliberate remarks such as :Your daughter/sister/niece/cousin was a prostitute." I've got fairly broad shoulders but, God forbid, if it ever happened in my household, even though it were not my fault, I don't think I'd be able to take it. I'd probably change my name by deed poll, move, or both.:(

I hear that on the radio, I like everyone else am hoping that he is the one, if he is then its good work. It was a bit creepy seeing that poor girl on the Harwich-Colchester train, I used to take it to work every morning in the mid-nineties, and it still looks the same. What a horrible case.

This guy is a serious loser. He isnt the same caliber as Sutcliffe or any of the really sick ones. He is a whiner. If it even IS him! C'mon the guy gave an interview to the mirror! (newspaper tabloid) Works at Tesco, has a myspace spot, and says he was like a boyfriend to one of the killed girls! Bet he was rejected by her, thats why he killed her! (if he even did!) I have some serious doubts over this guy. They say the cops interviewed him 4 times already! Hope they have some dna evidence on him!
