Have you an opinion on the drugs used in the procedure? Specifically, I'm not sure what the reason is for administering a paralytic agent. The American Veterinary Medical Association prohibits use of any drug with that effect when euthanizing terminally ill large mammals, for instance, and it seems to me that they must have a good reason for that ban in their procedure.

I do. I think it's a waste of time and money. A large syringe of air will do the job just fine, I'm told.

Semantics, or whatever the word is for the behavioral equivalent. I know you're against the death penalty, Spot, and I don't see the point in life without parole. I also don't see the point in being squeamish about carrying out a decision once it's been made. If we're going to have the death penalty, let's do it with as little pomp or expense as possible.

It's happened in practice.

It seems the "victums" rights,feelings, life, didn't matter to much to this "convicted" killer! So when killing the killer, as long as the killer is extinguised, by any means, is the sole purpose of the proceedure. Maybe they should bring back the Electric Chair! The liver would not have been a factor in that proceedure! :wah:
